As the parent of a blind or vision impaired child you have played a vital role in their development to date, helping and supporting them to this point in their lives.
As they now transition towards independence, often parents struggle with the desire to want to help their child instead of supporting and encouraging them to start making their own decisions, which is your prime objective now as a parent.
